about

At some point, we came across the story of St. Denis of Paris carrying his own severed head on a pilgrimage. We wanted to do something with that image, but without any of the saint or the religion. The way this song seemed to march forward made it possible. The actual marching sounds and finger snaps are multi-tracked recordings of Mark walking around in old dress shoes on a bamboo floor and snapping his fingers.
